Richard Francis Hopkins

Richard Francis Hopkins, 77 of Bluffton, SC passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Palm Meadows Court on Hilton Head Island, SC. He was born on October 1, 1935 in Manhattan, New York to the late Thomas and Lucy Mullen Hopkins. He was retired President of Kells Graphics Advertising Agency in New York City. He was a Catholic and avid golfer and a US Army veteran. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for his quick wit. He loved his family very much. He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Hopkins of Bluffton, SC; three sons, William Hopkins (Beatriz) of CT, Thomas Hopkins (Jacqueline) and Richard Hopkins (Carmen) all of NJ; one daughter, Kathleen Hudak (Art) of NJ; one sister, Natalie Versen (Harry) of Destin, FL and many grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Hopkins. The family requests memorial gifts be made to Tidewater Hospice, Memory Matters or Alzheimer's Association. Services will be held at a later date in New Jersey.
