Richard "Dick" Lee Burson

Richard "Dick" Lee Burson, 78, died after a short illness on January 28. Currently living in Bluffton, SC, Dick was a lifelong resident, general contractor and business owner in the Akron-Medina area. He is survived by Shirley, his wife of 60 years, daughters Bette Jo Foster of Columbus and Nancy (Blane) Sommer of Charleston, SC, grandchildren Dan (Susan) Foster and Karleya (Bryan) Chard of Columbus and Aly Sommer of North Carolina, and great grandson Drew Foster. He is also survived by his siblings, Barbara (Dick) Smith of Florida, Jim (Carol) of Seville, Karen (Edgar) Stalcup of Dover, and John (Debbie) of North Carolina, and in-laws Mary Hayward of Cuyahoga Falls and Gerald (Francis) Hayward of California. No memorial service is planned. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton is assisting the family with arrangements.
