Richard Raymond Matthews

Richard was predeceased by his father, Eugene Raymond Matthews Jr. and Paul Arnold Catterton. Also, by his grandparents Milton Richard Grimes, Jennie Lee Gaylord, and Clifford Horace Gaylord, including his uncle Eddie Matthews.

He is survived by his mother Jackie Grimes and his sisters Tanya Nichols (Jeremy Nichols) and Stephanie Glessner (Eric Glessner), his significant other Melissa Geiger and her daughters Monica Geiger and Annie Gonzales, also by his uncles and aunts, Billy Grimes, Ricky Grimes, Betty Grimes, Vicky Dowell (Tony Dowell) and his cousins Anthony Arzillo, Nicholas Arzillo, Lee Dowell, and Crystal Kirk (Brian Kirk) Justin Grimes and Kayla Grimes.

A Memorial and Celebration of Richard’s life will be held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland, SC.
