Richard Ellsworth Morse

Richard Morse, 83, died peacefully on April 10 at his home in Hilton Head, SC. He was born in Metuchen, NJ on February 16, 1931. He was the son of the late George Morse and Veronica Smalley. He was a 1954 graduate of Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Finance. He served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army. He retired from IBM in 1991 after 34 years as a dynamic Marketing Manager for all the major pharmaceutical companies headquartered in NJ. The next 15 years he worked closely with his wife, Lindsey, running an extremely successful Computertots/Computer Explorer franchise in Somerset and Middlesex Counties. Recently displaced by Hurricane Sandy the couple have spent the last 18 months in Hilton Head, SC close to family. He will be remembered as a loving father and husband. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Lindsey; his daughter, Jennifer, his son, Michael, his son, Jonathan and three grandchildren, Larissa, Kyle and Madison. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on April 14 at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC. He will be laid to rest in Lewisburg, PA. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Bucknell University.
