Richard €Œdick” R. Moore

Richard "Dick" R. Moore, 73, of Hilton Head Island, SC and formerly of Arlington Heights, IL, entered into eternal life with Christ on Wednesday, January 07, 2015 at his home. Mr. Moore was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 20, 1941, the son of the late Russell Moore and Florence Kolb Moore. He was a graduate and longtime fan of the University of Miami. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for many years as a food broker and sales and marketing agent, retiring as CEO from Source One Sales and Marketing Company in Chicago, IL. But, he always said that his proudest achievement was being a devoted follower of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! He was a faithful member of his loving family of Hilton Head Presbyterian Church (PCA). Mr. Moore is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Charlotte Moore; daughter, Angela Emmett (Josh) of Chicago, IL; son, Richard "Rick" R. Moore, Jr. (Lindsey) of Geneva, IL; sister, Carole Bogard (Tom) of Jacksonville, FL; sister-in law and brother-in-law, Roby and Max Park of Bloomington, IN; grandsons, Anderson Moore and Austin Bradford; dear nephews and nieces and his beloved dog, Nipsy. Richard's family would like to thank Dr. Mark Taylor, his oncologist at Summit Cancer Care, Savannah; Shelli Rey, his wonderful chemo nurse; Tamara Watson of the Hospice of the Low Country, who was a gift from God to him and to Charlotte; and Dr. Stephen Luther, Hilton Head, his internist and friend. Their compassion, tremendous and expert care made his journey with cancer more bearable than it might have been. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Island Lutheran Church, 4400 Main Street, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hilton Head Presbyterian Church (PCA), Impacting Building Fund, P.O. Box 23678, Hilton Head Island, SC 29925. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Island Lutheran Church, 4400 Main Street, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926.
