Richard Alan Roland

Richard Alan Roland, 54, of Brunson, SC passed away September 20, 2021 at Hampton Regional Medical Center in Hampton, SC.

Richard was born July 22, 1967 in Ashland, KY to the late Alvin R. Roland and Phyllis Marie Laney Roland. Richard worked as a heavy equipment operator for Malphrus Construction Co. Upon the closing of Malphrus Construction, he then was employed by Cleland Construction Co, and later J.R. Wilson Construction Co. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and enjoyed his time at home with his family, going to Wal-Mart and the parts stores, and loved to grill food for his family.

Richard is survived by his wife, Lori Ann Tuten; son, Richard Cameron Roland (Ashley) of Mobile, AL; daughters, Amber Lynn Roland (Brandon Lee Light) and Tiffany Marie Tuten (Justin M. Crews), both of Brunson; sisters, Mary Sexton (Buddy) and Margaret May, both of Ashland, KY; and grandchildren, Justin Michael Crews, Jr, Brayden Crews, Aubree Light, Conor Light, and Cameron Roland, II. Richard was preceded in death by his son, Cameron Roland, and his sister, Debbie Caskey.

A graveside service was held Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Steep Bottom Baptist Church Cemetery in Estill, SC.
