Robert S. €Œbob” Labartino

Robert S. "Bob" Labartino, 64 of Bluffton, SC died Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Mr. Labartino was born in Queens, NY on May 2, 1950, the son of the late Charles Labartino and Emily Marenco Labartino. While in New York, he owned an Italian bread franchise. Locally, he worked for many years as a salesman for Southern Wine and Spirits. He was a devout catholic and member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was also a member of CRHP (Christ Renews His Parrish). Prior to his involvement with St. Gregory, he was a longtime member of St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church where he also served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was also a faithful member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Labartino was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimmarie Labartino. He is survived by his loving wife, Kris Labartino; son, Bobby Labartino of Atlanta, GA; sister, Lorrie Chiarello (Rich) of Long Island, NY; aunt and uncle, Mary Ann and Joseph Descovich of Flushing, Queens; niece, Tracy Godek (Brian) of Long Island, NY; nephew, Michael Chiarello of Boston, MA; great-nephew, Dylan Godek; 5 brothers-in-law; 4 sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2014 with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2014 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC 29909. Burial will follow the mass at Six Oaks Cemetery, Hilton Head Island, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Maya Matters P.O.
