Robert Louis Baxter

Robert L. Baxter, 89, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Life Care Center of Hilton Head Island, SC. He was the son of the late Alten and Mildrew Scoefflin Baxter. He was born in Buffalo, NY on September 17, 1919. He was a veteran of the US Coast Guard and a publishing and communications executive.He is survived by four daughters, Martha Stephenson Lyon of Buffalo, NY, Ruth Terry Bennett of Franklin, TN, Barbara Baxter (Kenneth R) Barrett of Bluffton, SC and Anne Reynolds of Bluffton, SC; fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.He was predeceased by his wife, Sarah Baxter.Memorial Services will be held at a later date with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo, NY.Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
