Robert Nelson Beck

Robert Nelson Beck, 82, of Bluffton, SC passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Savannah Cottages in Savannah, GA.He was born November 22, 1927 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was the son of the late Chester Arthur and Ora Leona Reidenbach Beck.He was Chief of Environmental Health for District of Columbia and a consultant for Pan American World Health. He was a member of the Lions Club, the Exchange Club and an avid stamp collector. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II and Korea.He is survived by his wife, Jeannine Beck, of Bluffton, SC; three daughters, Catherine (John) Birckhead of Owings, MD, Linda Beck (Michael) Buchet of Annapolis, MD, and Diane (Eddie) Beck of La Plata, MD; one sister, Lois Horstmeyer of Sun City, AZ; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Charles Beck who died in 1968.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Island Lutheran Church, Main Street, Hilton Head Island, SC.The family requests that memorial donations be made to Island Lutheran Church, P.O.
