Robert George (Bob) Simonsen

Robert (Bob) George Simonsen of Bluffton, SC passed away on Monday, February 23, 2009 in Coastal Carolina Medical Center, Hardeeville, SC.He was born in New York City on January 16, 1940. He was the son of the late John and Asta Ericksen Simonsen.He was a retired New Rochelle, NY Firefighter. He was a former resident of Williamsburg, VA moving to Bluffton in 2006. He was a US Marine Corps veteran.He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Francesca S. (Randy) Simonsen of Bluffton, SC; four sons, R. Chris (Tonya) Simonsen of Beaufort, SC, Scott (Missy) Simonsen and John Simonsen all of Bluffton, SC and Daniel (Jenny) Simonsen of Miami, FL; one brother, Arthur Gunnar Simonsen of New York City; two sisters, Jayne Smith of White Plains, NY and Ann Pipia of Harrison, NY; six grandchildren, Taylor, Becca, Joshua, Logan, Noah and Seth.A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC.Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
