Robert E. "Bobby" Blocker

Robert E. “Bobby” Blocker, 72, passed away at home with his family by his side on November 20, 2023. He was born on November 16, 1951 to the late Gerald Blocker and Eleanor Griffin Blocker.

Bobby worked at Cherokee Plantation for over 40 years and retired in 2020 as the manager of the Equestrian and Gardening Department. Bobby had a love for horses and all animals.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy Farmer Blocker, three brothers, Jimmy (Lou) Blocker of Walterboro, SC, Barry Blocker of Walterboro, SC, Jerome (Ann) Blocker of Saluda, NC, and a sister, Jerrie Fromanthal (Lou) of Albuquerque, NM.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Joann Blocker Hickman.

A memorial service will be held on December 10, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Black Creek Baptist Church, 4931 Black Creek Road Walterboro, SC.
