Robert Edward Braden, Jr.

Robert Edward Braden Jr., 77, of Hilton Head Island, SC, passed away on December 28, 2022.  Robert, lovingly known as Bob, was born to Robert and Ruby Braden on October 19, 1945, in Charleston, WV.  He proudly served in the Air Force during Vietnam.  He received his MS in Physics from WVU.  He discovered quickly that his incredible intellect and insatiable drive made him a natural born leader in business.  He loved education, music, football and a great challenge. He liked to coach others, that life was like poker, it is not the hands you're dealt that determines if you are a winner or a loser but how you play them.  Bob is survived by his loving wife Marie, daughter Monica and her husband Drew, son Jason, stepdaughter Danielle (Jeffcoat) and her husband Trey, grandchildren Sienna and Landon, sister Lois Carol Horan, as well as nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his father Robert, mother Ruby, stepfather Hildred (Ray) Cavender, sister and brother in-law Janet and Jack Pennington, and brother in-law Richard Horan.  The family will be conducting a closed private service but requests that you please consider donating to a veteran’s organization to honor him, in lieu of cards or flowers.
