Robert F. Cleland, Jr.

Robert “Bobby” F. Cleland, Jr., 67, of Pineland, SC passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026 at his home.

Bobby was born on February 24, 1959, in Ridgeland, South Carolina, to the late Robert F. Cleland, Sr. and Elaine Nettles Degler. He had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in hunting, fishing, tending to his livestock, and working in his garden. Bobby especially enjoyed hunting trips with his buddies, always making sure everyone was well fed with a home-cooked meal prepared by him.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 45 years, Hollie (Hanson) Cleland; son, James Cleland of Ellabell, GA; daughters, Jessica Vaigneur of Grays, SC and Angela Cleland of Pineland; sisters, Theresa Lowther and Janet Hilderbrand; and grandchildren, Justin Vaigneur, Autumn Vaigneur, Sophia Vaigneur, Ian Smith, Kaitlin Smith, and Charlotte Smith.

Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland is assisting the family with arrangements.
