Robert M Goeppner passed away on April 11, 2021 after a long illness. He was born in Brockton, Massachusetts to the late Robert M. Goeppner, Sr. and Dorothy J. Goeppner. He graduated from Rockland High School in 1972, and then enlisted and served in the United States Navy from 1972-1978. He lived in Colorado, and worked as an apprentice in the oil and gas industry. Soon after returning to Massachusetts in 1986, he created Bristol County Title and Abstract Co., Inc. He was the president and owner of his company for 24 years. He relocated to Pennsylvania in 2012, bringing his knowledge and expertise in the oil and gas industry to EQT Corporation. Throughout his entire career, Bob took great pride in the quality of his work, and inspired others to do the same. This passion led him to create and manage a department dedicated to quality control at EQT. In 2018, he retired and moved to Bluffton, South Carolina.
Prior to creating Bristol County Title & Abstract, Co, Inc., he met, and later married, his wife of almost 32 years, Debi Goeppner. Together they had three children, Michael, Scott, and Marisa. They raised their family in Westport, Massachusetts. While the children were growing up, they spent as much time as possible on their boat enjoying New England's south coast. He loved to travel, and nothing made him happier than planning and enjoying cruise vacations with his family. He loved finding a great beach, relaxing with a bucket of beer by his side, and swimming in the ocean with his wife and children. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making his family and friends laugh until tears streamed down their faces.
Bob loved tropical destinations, the great outdoors, the mountains, camping, hiking, skiing, golf, hockey, photography, and spending Sundays watching football, sharing his recliner with his dog, Breeze. He also enjoyed fine dining, preferably in a casual setting, seated outside by the ocean.
Bob is survived by his wife, Debi, and their three children. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends not only for his great sense of humor, but also for his kind and generous nature.
The family will be holding a private service to celebrate his life and to uphold his final wishes. In lieu of flowers, buy yourself a bottle of Jack Daniels and pour one out for Bob.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. - Mark Twain .
