Robert Bruce Graffis, 77 of Salem, SC and formerly of Bluffton, SC passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Lake Keowee in Salem, SC as the result of a boating accident.
He was born in Chicago, IL on December 19, 1935 to the late Arthur and Lola Young Graffis. He was the owner of Setting Tools, Inc. in Naperville, IL and Bluffton, SC. He was a founding member of the Lowcountry Presbyterian Church in Bluffton. He was a US Army Veteran. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Karen K. Graffis of Salem, SC; his daughter, Allyson Wolkowicz (Peter) of Bluffton, SC; one brother, Jerry Graffis of Florida; three sisters, Ardith Calzareta of Highwood, IL, Gloria Florence of Dahinda, IL and Katherine Osterman of Orland Park, IL; three grandchildren, Ryan, Brendan and Ian Wolkowicz.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, October 4, 2013 at the Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort,SC. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until Noon at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC. The family requests memorial donations be made in the name of Robert Bruce Graffis to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
