Robert M. Hodge

Robert M Hodge passed peacefully on May 12, 2018 just after his 95th birthday. Bob was born in midwestern Ohio in 1923. He graduated from the local high school followed by a stint at Wright Patterson field and then three years in the 8th Air Force flying 35 missions over enemy territory during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, one son, Dennis Hodge, two step daughters Jennifer (Glen) Morrison, and Suzanne (David) Brewer, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Melanie Seville and son James Hodge. After Bob returned stateside he took advantage of the GI bill and graduated Whittenberg and pursued a business career. He was an avid golfer and moved south to work and play ending up in Tampa, Fl where he became controller of Pulte Homes and met the love of his life. Upon retirement he and his wife enjoyed golf, billiards, and travel. And in 2011 moved to Sun City, SC. He lived his life as an honorable loving man and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Hospice of South Carolina who provided many hours of loving and compassionate care to Bob in his final days. They are located at 29 Plantation Park Ste 302 Bluffton 29910. At his request there will be no final services. Cremation has taken place.
