Robert George Holleron

Robert (Bob) Holleron of Sun City(Bluffton), South Carolina passed away on Wednesday February 2,2022, at the age of 77. After a short battle with Glioblastoma(Brain Cancer), Bob died peacefully.

Bob was born in York in 1944, to father George Holleron and Mother Eleanor Catherine Holleron. Bob graduated Manhattan College with a degree in Electrical Engineering and in the 90’s received his MBA from Trenton State.  He enlisted in the Air Force where he met his wife of 55 years Joan Foerster. After the military, Bob’s career was in communications with AT&T.

Following Bob’s military career, Bob and Bunny (Joan), settled in South Plainfield, New Jersey and raised 4 children. Bob and Bunny were also foster parents and fostered more than 100 children. Bob and Bunny retired to Sun City (Bluffton) South Carolina.   Bob was known by all as a “Human Encyclopedia”.   He had a tremendous amount of knowledge in many areas.   Bob loved technology(computers), military history as well as photography.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and sister Eleanor Shurtman.   He is survived by his sisters, Pat Tort, Lisa Prusi; his wife Joan Holleron; children Lisa Montes, R. Andrew Holleron, Karen Lynch and Jennifer Holleron; grandchildren Patrick Holleron, Jelinda Montes and Evelyn Lynch.

Bob will be cremated, and no services are being planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Glioblastoma foundation or the charity of your choice.
