Robert Sears Parsons

Robert S. Parsons, 82, of Bluffton, SC died Monday, June 16, 2008 in the Hilton Head Hospital, Hilton Head Island, SC.He was born in Brookline, MA on May 4, 1926. He was the son of the late Lydia Fenn and Frank Enos Parsons.He graduated from Pelham, NY Memorial High School and the Foreign Service School at Georgetown University. He earned his MBA in Finance at the University of Pittsburgh.He served in the US Army during World War II and later in the US Marines during the Korean War.He was primarily a Financial Manager in companies like Johns Manville, US Steel and the Georgia Ports Authority. He retired to Sun City Hilton Head in 1998.He was married to the former Jean Ann Lynch for fifty plus years. He was the proud father of six children and twelve grandchildren.The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew Chapel, Pinckney Colony Rd., Bluffton, SC at 11:30 am on Friday, June 20, 2008 with burial in the Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC.Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
