Robert (Bob) Peeples entered into eternal peace on September 22, 2025, at home in Summerville, SC. He was born on August 20, 1948, in Ridgeland, SC, son of the late Tommie and Sadie Ruth Peeples. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gwen Peeples, his sons: Bryan Peeples (Abby) of Virginia Beach, VA; Richard (Mary Catherine) Peeples of Awendaw, SC; his daughter, Andrea Peeples Allen (Michael) of Rock Hill, SC; and his sister, Melanie Peeples Tindal of Ridgeland, SC. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Spencer Peeples, Nicholas Peeples, Holden Allen, Oliver Peeples, Luke Allen, and Virginia Peeples. He is additionally survived by special sisters-in-law: Gail Steele, Mary Ann Peeples, and Debbie Peeples. Bob was predeceased by his brothers: Bennie Peeples, Thomas Peeples, and Paul Peeples.
Bob is a graduate of Furman University and a member of Boone Hill United Methodist Church. He is a former store manager for Winn Dixie, sales agent for Frito Lay, and agent for American General and United Life Insurance Companies.
Bob loved and was proud of his family and enjoyed taking trips with them; camping; white water rafting; supporting the SHS Band; and attending plays, musicals, and concerts. He loved attending all special occasions for his family. For many years he was a volunteer delivery person for Meals on Wheels of Summerville.
Gwen would like to express gratitude to the outstanding professionals at Bayada (MUSC) Hospice and wonderful caregivers from Home Instead. Their loving concern was to make his last days safe and comfortable.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Ridgeland Cemetery, Ridgeland, SC, on Saturday, October 4, at 3:00 PM. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Meals on Wheels of Summerville, the Summerville Orchestra, or a charity of your choice.
