Robert Allen Rewalt

Robert Allen Rewalt, 81, of Hilton Head Island, died February 20, 2015 at his residence. He was born on April 6, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the son of the late Harry A. and Marion Allen Rewalt. He taught high school in Parma, Ohio for 30 years and then taught in The Branch Christian Schools for the past 20 years. He received his Masters of Education from Kent State University. He was an ordained Episcopal Priest and was a Rector at St. Paul's United Episcopal Church in Coshocton, Ohio. He was a longtime art teacher and enjoyed painting in watercolors, especially landscapes. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Polites Rewalt of Hilton Head Island; his son, Christopher A. Rewalt of Wheeling, West Virginia; daughters Judy Oleyar (Pete) of Hilton Head Island, Amy Moyers (Donald) of Olmsted Falls, OH, and Wendy Lauffer of Bluffton, SC; his sister, Marilyn Holmberg (Donald) of Philadelphia, PA; 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A service will be held at Resurrection Christian Community Church of Hilton Head Island at a later date.
