Robert A Sawyer

Robert A Sawyer (Bob) passed away at home with his wife by his side December 30, 2024 at the age of 77.  Bob’s health had been declining over the last couple of years and suffered from several falls.

Bob was born in Akron, Ohio and lived in the Akron and Cuyahoga Falls area prior to relocating to Bluffton, SC in 2009.  He retired from the Akron Police Department as a sergeant with 31 years of service.  He enjoyed caring for and riding his horses, watching westerns on tv, fishing in the lagoon in his backyard, riding his motorcycle and of course playing pickleball with friends and neighbors.

He will be dearly missed by his wife Carrie Sawyer, his sweet fur baby, Amber, as well as his many caring and loving neighbors.

To honor Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are to be held.  Remember him with a smile and the good times shared with him.  We miss you and love you.
