Robert Donald Thun

Robert Donald Thun was born March 29, 1936 in Nutley, N.J. to Rose and Otto Thun.  He died on January 11, 2023.

Bob graduated from Upsala College and received his MBA from Rutgers University.  He was a Chartered Financial Analyst.  He worked at Dean Witter in NYC as an oil and gas analyst and later in institutional sales.  Then he moved to Atlanta and worked as SVP of institutional Sales at Robinson Humphrey.

Bob enjoyed sailing, sports, gardening, and history, and being with his family and dogs.  Bob valued family, faith, integrity, hard work and education.  He told his children one of the best gifts he could give them was a well rounded education.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Viola, his three children Robert, Kristen and David, their spouses, and 5 grandchildren.

Private family service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers or Samaritan's Purse.
