Robert E. Unamann

Bob, formerly of Ridgeland, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 3, in Rockledge, Florida, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, at age 70.

Bob is survived by his sisters Judith Birchenough (Beaufort, SC) and Sandra Unamann (Avon, NY), nephews Kenneth Lane (Zabrina) and Robert Birchenough, niece Rose Castillo, and great nephews Brayden Lane and Carter McCue.

Also survived by daughter Stacey Horry (Webb), son Matthew Unamann (Julie), grandchildren Kaleb, Riley, Catherine, Rebecca, Samantha, Joshua, Peter, Noah and Oliver.

He was predeceased by parents Henry Unamann and Faye Kelly, brother Martin Unamann, sister Virginia Lane, niece Kerri Lane. He will be greatly missed by extended family and friends.

Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he worked many years at the former Handy Dan’s convenience stores in Jasper County, and about twenty years in the glass business as an installer, designer, and estimator/office manager in Ridgeland and Hilton Head before retiring in 2018.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC.
