Robert €Œbob” Vredenburgh

Robert "Bob" Vredenburgh, 81, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Highland Mills, NY passed away on August 6, 2015 with his family at his side. Mr. Vredenburgh was born on November 6, 1933, the son of the late Donald and Marian O'Dell Vredenburgh. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a Sergeant with the New York City Police Dept. for twenty-six years. After retiring, he was a teacher for fifteen years with the New York Institute for Special Education in the Bronx. Mr. Vredenburgh was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Betty Vredenburgh; daughter, Laurie Douthit (Kevin) of Bluffton, SC; sons, William Vredenburgh (Renee) of Darien, CT and Robert Vredenburgh (Lisa) of Palmetto Bay, FL; sisters, Joan Harris and Gertrude McLean, both of Ohio; and eight grandchildren.
