Robert "Bobby" W. Parsons

Robert W. Parsons (Bobby), 79, of Hardeeville, SC, passed away Monday, July 22, 2024 peacefully in his home. Bobby was born April 24, 1945 in Croton, NY to the late James D. Parsons, Sr. and Ruth Holstein Parsons. Bobby served in the U.S. Air Force from 1967-1971, serving two tours in Vietnam. He spent 30 years as a furniture refinisher for major high-end furniture companies, specializing in troubleshooting and customer satisfaction. Bobby met the love of his life, Joyce DiBenedetto, on a blind date in 1971. They married on May 6, 1972. With that marriage came a large Italian family that embraced Bobby and made him feel like he had always been a part of them. In 2006, he and Joyce moved to the Bluffton, SC area. In Bluffton, Bobby enjoyed a vibrant social life, shared lots of laughter, and forged many lasting friendships with those around him. In addition to his loving wife of 52 years, Bobby is survived by his daughter, Karen Mobley (Rodney); grandson, Dakota Mobley; granddaughter, Karsen Mobley; brother, James D. Parsons, Jr. (Patty); brother-in-law, Russell DiBenedetto (Barbara); niece, Dana Gubitoso; the entire Pallone and DiBenedetto families; and many friends, both near and far. Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Compassus Hospice, 10911 North Jacob Smart Blvd., Suite 1, Ridgeland, SC 29936.
