Robert William Westervelt

Robert William Westervelt, 67 of Bluffton passed away on March 13, 2015 in the Memorial Health University Medical Center, Savannah, GA. He was born in Suffern, New York on May 26, 1947 to the late John William and Mary Frances Stemple Westervelt. He was a chemical engineer employed by B. F. Goodrich and FMC, Corp. He was a graduate of Lafayette College. He was a member of The Church of the Palms and active in the Brothers Club. He was a member of the Computer Club of Sun City. He is survived by his wife, Anne Green Westervelt of Bluffton; two daughters, Leslie Westervelt of Charlotte, NC and Amy Westervelt of Middletown, DE; one sister, Carol Burnell of Newfoundland, NJ and nieces and nephews, Collin Burnell, Erin Burnell, Brandon Burnell, Shannon Hughes and Kendra Mead. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Church of the Palms, 1425 Okatie Highway, Okatie, SC 29909. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Church of the Palms.
