Robert S. Wolfkiel

Robert Wolfkiel of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina died December 2, 2023 at the age of 84 years. He was born December 22, 1938 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania.

After graduating Nanticoke High School (PA), he joined the Marine Corp, like his three brothers, and served his country four years.  Following an honorable discharge, he attended technical school followed by a career in the Cathode-ray tube (Televison) business until retiring at age 70.  In 1972, his company moved his family to Puerto Rico....which he claimed were the best 15 years of his life.

He was a loving husband and father.  Married to his wife Louise for 60 years, they raised two children, Sharon (55 dec.) and Bobby 57.  Bob is survived by his wife Louise, son, Bobby, daughter in law, Diane his granddaughters, Gabby and Daria.  He was predeceased by his siblings, Richard, Jack, Joyce, Jimmy and Doris.

Bob was die hard Philadelphia sports fans....loved his Eagles. He was a football coach to many, including his son.  He never missed a game that Bobby played in. Bob was a strong Catholic.  His favorite saying was..."Thank the Dear Lord for what you have".

No doubt he is in a better place now; united with his daughter Sharon who passed in December 2021.

A small family and friend Graveside Service will be held at Beaufort Memorial National Cemetery on December 14 at 2pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
