Roberta Janice Brien

January 30, 1951 — January 11, 2022

Roberta (Kosinski) Brien of Blufton, SC passed away on January 11, 2022. She was the beloved and devoted wife of Francis (Bud) Brien for 30 years, the daughter of Ralph and Veronica (Blasko) Kosinski. She was the loving sister of Maryann Kosinski of Denver, CO. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, countless cousins, and countless friends.

Roberta grew up in Irvington, NJ. She was a graduate of lock Haven University, PA and Rutgers University, NJ with a Master's Degree in library Science. She worked in the military defense field for many years, having retired in 2016 with her husband Bud. They travelled and enjoyed their time together, also hosting visitors from NJ, MA and MD. Their door was always open and Roberta welcomed every visitor with her bright smile and sparkling blue eyes.

Roberta will be remembered for her kindness and caring heart and for always trying to make others feel comfortable. She was an avid reader, and was the family historian who kept records of important events and was known for her family picture collection, also an excellent writer and would remember every birthday and holiday or just a note to say hello.

Nothing in life is ever certain except that certain people enter our lives and never leave our hearts. Roberta was that person and her legacy will persevere.
