Roberta Inez Burroughs

Roberta Inez Burroughs, 91 of Hardeeville, SC and widow of Gerald W. Oakes and William E. Burroughs passed away on January 28, 2017 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Beaufort, SC.

Mrs. Burroughs was born in Shamrock, OK on May 13, 1925 to the late Willis Powell and Faye Hill Powell. She moved to California during her high school years and graduated from Benicia High School. She played in the band; enjoyed playing golf and loved to watch tennis on TV.

She is survived by her son, Terry D. Oakes (Tomi) of Marysville, CA; her daughter, Sue Coulter of Hardeeville, SC; her step son, Michael Burroughs of Marysville, CA; her step daughters, MaryAnn Peterson of Rio Vista, CA and Lindee Burroughs of Reno, NV; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Will) Jimerson, Becky (Billy) Burch, Tara (Autumn) S. Coulter, Jessica (Jason) Iames, Heather(Shun) Duckworth, Christopher Oakes and Will Peterson; great grandchildren, Nathan and Brady Jimerson, Lilly and Ellie Burch, Iakona Smith-Coulter and Jackson and Addison Duckworth.

Funeral services will be held in Olivehurst, California.
