Lyn Rogers Mock, 75, of Ridgeland, SC passed away on February 12, 2010 in Beaufort Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family, following a short illness.Rogers was born in Tillman, South Carolina on November 27, 1934 to James Henry Mock and Leola Floyd Mock. He was the 11th of 12 children. He grew up in Tillman and worked as an electrical contractor throughout Beaufort and Jasper counties. He founded his own electrical company and worked until his retirement in 1997. He married Eileen Cleland on December 4, 1955, to whom he was sealed for eternity in the St. George, Utah L.D.S. Temple. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in that church in a variety of callings, including Branch President and a mission to the Albuquerque, New Mexico area from 1997-1998.He could always be counted on to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. He above all loved the outdoors and one of his greatest joys throughout his life was working on his farms and fishing and hunting with his sons and grandchildren.He is predeceased by a son, Murray Lyn Mock. He is survived by his loving wife, Eileen C. Mock of Ridgeland; three sons, Dayne (Leita) and Jason (Kerry) both of Ridgeland, and Shannon (Robyn) of Salt Lake City, Utah; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Mock of Ridgeland; three sisters, Mary Marcello of Ridgeland, Lillian Jean Ogburn of Camden and Doris Conkle of Oklahoma; 23 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Ridgeland with interment to follow at Ridgeland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W.
