Rolando Eduardo Paez

Rolando Eduardo Paez, 65 of Hilton Head Island, SC died Monday, May 2, 2011 in the Hilton Head Medical Center.Born in Tunuyan, Mendoza, Argentina on September 1, 1945. He moved his family to Hilton Head in 1980. He was a long time employee of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was a loving family man, and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ascencion of Bluffton; sons, Sergio (Deidra) Paez of Mauldin, SC, Cristian Paez of Hilton Head; former wife, Josefina Paez of Bluffton; grandchildren Natalia and Alexandra Ascencion of Bluffton, Jasmine, Cristian S. and Marie Paez of Mauldin, SC and Elaina Urato of Hilton Head and Cristian R. Paez of Ridgeland, SC; great grandson, Xavier Paez of Mauldin, SC; sisters, Irma (Hugo) Arrieta of Hilton Head, Mercedes Ayala of Argentina; brothers, Oscar Paez of Nashville, TN and Hector Paez of Spain. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evaristo and Alicia Paez; sisters, Olgita, Chela, Elva and Olga; brothers, Jorje and Victor.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 24 Pope Ave., Hilton Head Island. The final resting place will be at St. Francis by The Sea columbarium at 3:00 pm on Saturday.The family requests memorial gifts be made to Silvana P. Ascencion for the benefit of Rolando E. Paez to Carolina First Bank.
