Ronald Lee Discher

Ronald Lee Discher, 78, of Bluffton, SC passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025 at his home.

Ronald was born November 26, 1946 in Cincinnati, OH to the late… Raised in Cincinnati, he then pursued his Bachelor’s degree at Ohio State University and attended OSU Dental College, receiving his DDS. He started his dental practice of 41 years in Springfield, OH in 1971. In June of 1994, Ronald married Colleen Louise Melloh.

Upon retirement, Ronald enjoyed completing beautiful artwork with Paint by Numbers, going out to dinner with Colleen, and participating in his neighborhood bowling league. He also had a passion for golf, a sport he had loved since the age of seven.

In addition to his wife of 31 years, Ronald is survived by his son, Ryan Discher (Jennifer) of GA; daughters, Heidi Oxendine of NC, Allison Flickinger (Brian) of IN, Kimberly Osburn (Jeremy) of CA, and Jessica Lavergne (Jason) of SC; nine grandchildren; and his loyal companion, Daisy. Ronald was preceded in death by his first wife, Harriett Jill Discher; brother, Donald Discher; and sister, Shirley Potts.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, September 22, 2025 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd, Bluffton. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lowcountry Memorial Gardens.
