Ronald Glenn Hall, 77, of Bluffton, SC passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011 at his home.He was born on November 19, 1933 in New London, WI to the late Dorothy Bessett and Glenn L. Hall.Ron was born at home and at the age of 3 he developed a life threatening case of pneumonia. Penicillin had just been discovered but no trials were out. In a dramatic effort to save his life the doctors had to remove a rib in his back to drain the lung.He went to Lawrence College and received a degree in geology. He was recruited into the Air Force immediately after college and got a degree in meteorology. He was sent to Guam and flew with crews into typhoons as a meteorologist. He taught pilots weather for seven years.Ron met Louise while stationed in Valdosta, GA. They were married February 24, 1962. They moved from Valdosta to the suburbs of Chicago when he got out of the Air Force and went into business as an Executive Search Consultant.Ron has two sons, both born in Chicago Heights, IL. They moved to Memphis, TN and then to Atlanta where his daughter, Jennifer was born. After a few years they returned to the Northern suburbs of Chicago.Ron and Louise remained at this address until all children were out of school and on with their lives. They then moved to Bluffton, SC in September 1994 where Louise continues to live. Ron was a member of Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and his grandchildren.Their children are: Ron Jr. and his wife, Audree of Prospect Heights IL and their children, Cory and Jake; Randolph (Randy) and his wife, Lillian of Crowne Point, IN and their children, Max, Dylan and Aviana (Ava); Jennifer Casey and her husband, Paul of Round Hill, VA and their children, Alexandra, 6 and Mikayla, 3.
