Ronald Leroy Pulfer

Ronald Leroy Pulfer, 82, of Bluffton, SC died May 6, 2013 at NHC-Bluffton. He was born on April 28, 1931 in Quincy, Ohio, the son of the late Albert Henry and Emma Margaret Smith Pulfer. He was a farmer and in 1965 he moved to Lima, Ohio and worked for H.U. Tuttle and Sons Construction Company until retiring in 1985. He moved to the Hilton Head Island area in 1989. He was a member of Indian Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Ermel Wagner Pulfer of Bluffton, SC; sons Chris Pulfer (Debbie) of Bloomingdale, GA and Eric Pulfer (Deb Allison) of Lima, Ohio; daughters Melody Arnold (Scott) of Vacaville, CA and Joyce Cooper (Mark Nivens) of Bluffton, SC; sister Thelma Leitz of St. Louis, MO; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Warren Pulfer. A Funeral Service will be held at 5pm, Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Indian Hill Baptist Church, 389 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC with a visitation held prior to the service from 3-5pm. Burial will follow at St. Luke's Memorial Gardens. The family requests memorial donations be made to the Indian Hill Baptist Church, P.O. Box 77, Bluffton, SC 29910.
