F. Ronnie Jackson, 66, of Hardeeville, SC passed away on Monday, January 20, 2014 in the St. Joseph's Hospital, Savannah, GA.
He was born in St. George, SC on August 7, 1947 to the late Legare Walker and Velma Faye Murray Jackson.
He was the owner of Jackson's Plantation Shutters and enjoyed woodworking. He was a US Army 101st Airborne veteran who served in Vietnam during TET offensive. He was a member of the Red Dam Baptist Church in Hardeeville. While alive, he enjoyed life and his grandson, Brandon.
He is survived by his daughter, Vickie Jackson McElwee of Hardeeville, SC; brothers, Charles Legare Jackson (Pat) of Eutawville, SC and Michael Dean Jackson Sr. (Connie) of St. George, SC and his grandson, Brandon Cole McElwee of Hardeeville, SC. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Ferguson Jackson; his brother, Timothy William Jackson and his sister, Catherine J. Cook.
A funeral service with military honors will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the Red Dam Baptist Church, Hardeeville, SC with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 til 8, Tuesday evening at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland, SC.
The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams Street, Ridgeland, SC 29936.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Red Dam Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
