Ronnie Lee Scott

February 10, 1943 — June 6, 2023

Ronnie Lee Scott, of Gadsden, AL, a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and a friend to all who knew him, passed away peacefully June 6, 2023.  He was 80 years old.

He met the love of his life, June, in Birmingham, AL, after earning his Civil Engineering degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His work led him to various parts of the country, which resulted in a love for many scenic road trips and travels they enjoyed immensely upon his retirement.

Ronnie was a doting husband to June and loved his family more than anything. He was an avid supporter of his daughter’s and grandchildren’s activities including soccer, basketball, football, hockey, tennis, dance, to name a few, and he was always ready a with camera in hand. He loved to play golf whenever the opportunity presented itself. And he was passionate about his Alabama football, following all of the Crimson Tide sports and offering a hearty “Roll Tide” everywhere he went.

He is preceded in death by his parents Walden & Margaret Scott; his sister, Barbara (Jerald) Couch and his 2 brothers, Stephen Scott and Spencer Scott.  He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, June Scott; his daughters Christy (Rob) Stocke and Angela (Jonathan) Roberts; his grandchildren Gray Roberts, Mason Roberts, Hank Stocke & Noah Stocke; sister, Nancy (Jack, deceased) Kelly; sister-in-law Beckie (Stephen, deceased) Scott,  and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Low Country Memorial Gardens in Bluffton, South Carolina.  A Friends & Family visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Collier Butler Funeral Home in Gadsden, Alabama.
