Rose Mary Newbold

Rose Mary Newbold of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, formerly of Indianapolis, passed peacefully in Hilton Head Island on March 2nd. Rose Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Newbold who passed in 1986, her parents and her three sisters, Betty Degner, Joan Lucas, and Phyllis Markland. Rose Mary was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was employed by the former Indiana Bell Telephone Company for many years, leaving the workforce when her children were born in order to be a devoted mother. She enjoyed a variety of leisure time activities including her many volunteer activities, boating, travel, card games, knitting, and quilting. She is survived by son Michael Newbold (wife Bonnie) and daughter Dena Donovan (husband Steve), both of Hilton Head Island, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will take place at Noon on Saturday, March 11th at Little & Sons, Stop 11 Road Chapel, preceded by a visitation from 10am to Noon.
