Roseann Margaret Kenney

Roseann Margaret Kenney, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and pillar of her community, passed away peacefully the morning of December 29th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was 79 years old.

Roseann lived in Brooklyn, NY with her parents Edward and Mary McDonald (nee McMullan). She lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a passion for helping others. Roseann was proposed to by Leo Kenney in Central Park in New York City on a horse drawn carriage. They lived in New York, until eventually retiring in Bluffton, South Carolina. They were married 56 years, and had three children, which were her pride and joy, along with her six grandchildren.

Roseann's generosity and kindness extended far beyond her family. She was deeply committed to her community, volunteering her time and talents to various charities and local schools. Her successful career as a real estate agent was marked by her dedication to her clients and her community.

In her free time, Roseann loved to socialize and have fun. She was an active member of the Red Hatters group and enjoyed playing mahjongg, bunco, and attending any social gathering that brought people together. Her infectious smile and warm personality made her a beloved fixture to her family and friends.

Roseann is survived by her beloved husband, Leo Kenney; Children, Kelly (Brian) O’Sullivan, Sean (Jill) Kenney, Meghan Kenney; Grandchildren, Cailiegh, Brendan, Shannon, Michael, Ryan, Haley; Siblings, Maureen (Hugh) Ficken, and Edward (Susan) McDonald. Roseann is predeased by her Parents, Edward and Mary McDonald, and her Sister, Kathy Nohren.

A celebration of Roseann's life will be held on January 25th at 3pm at Sauls Funeral Home located at 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, South Carolina. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her honor.
