Rosemary Bendelow

Rosemary Bendelow, age 78, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Annapolis, MD died Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center. Mrs. Bendelow was born on April 4, 1939 in Evanston, IL, the daughter of the late John J. and Grace Schwartz Keats. She was a 1961 graduate of Northwestern University and studied flute at The Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, MD. She has performed with chamber groups, show orchestras, churches and as a soloist in recitals. She worked as a school teacher and later shared her talent of music as an instructor, teaching flute privately and adjudicating music competitions. She was a charter member of Bay Winds Concert Band in Annapolis, MD and was a member of Lowcountry Presbyterian Church where she was a frequent instrumental soloist. Mrs. Bendelow is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Stuart W. Bendelow; daughter, MaryAnn Mason (Billy Mason); son, Stuart William “Bill” Bendelow, Jr. (Vicki Draper); and grandsons, Joseph and Will Mason. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 19, 2018 at Lowcountry Presbyterian Church, 10 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910.
