Rosemary was born on August 2, 1945 to Guy & Mary (Leonard) Fatta in Brooklyn NY.
In 1952 the family moved to Bethpage, NY. Later on, she lived in Huntington, NY, Tucson Arizona, Babylon, NY, Manhattan, NY, and for the last 10 years in Bluffton, SC.
Rosemary had several interesting jobs; working for a textile firm in Manhattan, as an airline flight attendant for Delta, and working at one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the world.
While living in Manhattan we saw just about every Broadway play, not to mention eating at almost every great restaurant.
Rosemary was also an avid sailor and a member of the Lloyd Harbor Yacht Club, She cruised around the New England area in their 37’ sail boat and she steered through all kinds of weather including in some scary conditions.
She was a gentle, loving, giving person; working at different charities in New York including Huntington Hospital, St. Gregory’s Giving Tree and her last and greatest love, Heaven’s Treasure in Bluffton, SC.
Rosemary loved, reading, running, walking, exercising and especially shopping with her friends in Manhattan and Belfair.
During the 90’s she studied Italian cooking under Patricia Gambarelli/Guiliano Bugialli. Cooking Italian food became her passion, and she excelled at it. Her sauces were all made from scratch, only using the freshest ingredients, spending hours preparing every dinner.
She loved to vacation in the Caribbean, especially St. Maarten where she had a timeshare for the past 38 years. Every winter it became our second home/family.
Rosemary was an adventurous travel companion she loved Sicily, Italy, where some of our grandparents came from. We loved eating our way through Bellagio, Rome, Venice, etc. We drove everywhere getting lost and making friends along the way with one place more beautiful than the last.
Still, the best part of travel for Rosemary was coming home.
Rosemary was survived by her loving partner of 19 years, Carmine Puma, her son Paul Cappabianca, grandchildren, Kayla (& Luce) Bennett, LuAnn (& Collin) Flemming, her great Grandson, Waylon Flemming, her brother, Guy (& Chris) Fayda, sister Barbara (& Terry) Domico and brother Michael Fatta.
