Roy John Padolik

Roy John Padolik, age 87, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Chagrin Falls, OH died Sunday, February 5, 2017.

Mr. Padolik was born on December 10, 1929 in Cleveland, OH, the son of the late John Philip Padolik and Julianna Stroeder Padolik. He was a graduate of Western Reserve University where he earned a degree in Architecture. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Korean War. He worked as an architect for 35 years and was known for making designs functional. He was a member of the Jaycee’s where he served as Treasurer and was also active with the Boy Scouts, serving as Scout Master for 8 years. Following his retirement, he volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and at the local hospital in Geauga County. While living in Bluffton he was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church.

Mr. Padolik is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jan Padolik; sons, Steven D. Padolik of Bluffton, SC and Peter A. Padolik (Laura) of Cincinnati, OH; and grandchildren, Leah, Zachary, and Andrew.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Bloom at Bluffton and Pruitt Health/Hospice for their kindness and care for Mr. Padolik.

A celebration of Roy's life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2017 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 3001 Meeting Street, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church.
