Roy Rheudolph Smith

Roy R. Smith, 90 of Ridgeland, SC passed away on October 2, 2015 at the Ridgeland Nursing Center, Ridgeland, SC. Roy was born on July 1, 1925 in Hardeeville, SC to the late Roy and Edna Morris Smith. Roy was a graduate of Clemson University and used his premedical courses from Clemson while serving in the Asian Pacific during World War II as a US Army Staff Sergeant. Roy was retired from Gulf Oil Company and was a member of Ridgeland Baptist Church. Roy is survived by several cousins and was predeceased by his sister, Anna Margaret Smith Shore. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland with burial in the Carters Ford Baptist Church Cemetery, Lodge, SC. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 am until the hour of the service at the funeral home. Please make memorial donations in memory of Roy R.
