Roy Edwin Thompson Sr.

ROY EDWIN THOMPSON, SR, 94, of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, went home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 9, 2009. Born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, on February 20, 1915 to the late William & Mellie Thompson, he served in the US Army in WW II. He resided in Mountain View, Missouri, before he met his late wife of 57 years, Gladys E. Thompson of Savannah, Georgia. They purchased land on Hilton Head Island in 1952, began Palmetto Cabinet & Millworks in 1964, and he has continued his rental business to date. He was a founding member of Grace Community Church, and showed free Gospel movies for over 20 years, with a passion to share his faith and God
