Rudolph E. (Rudy) Haumann, 87, died Saturday, January 19, 2008 at his home in Bluffton, SC.He was born on February 29, 1920 in Uniondale, NY, to Martha and Emil Haumann. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Harriet and his two sisters, Mildred Finney and Alice Kilby.He was a graduate of Pratt Institute in NY. As a World War II veteran he served as a Navigator on a B17, flying 26 European missions. A POW, he was shot down, bailed out and was taken prisoner. He also crash-landed on one mission. He was an accomplished artist and had a display business for 38 years. He loved to sing and could make up a tune for everyone
