Russell Saupe

Russell Saupe, age 67, of Bluffton, SC and Greensburg, PA died Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville, SC. Mr. Saupe was born on September 8, 1950 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late Eugene and Grace Saupe. He was a graduate of both Penn State University and the University of Pittsburgh. Following his formal education he began his career as an Engineer with Westinghouse where he retired after many years of service. He enjoyed fishing, golf, and crabbing, but most of all he was a loving stepdad and “pap” who enjoyed spending time with his girls. Mr. Saupe is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Mary E. Saupe; daughters, Terri Linn Ackley (fiancé, Dwayne Hartman and his son, Colten) and Denise Ashley Ressler (Rick); grandchildren, Kaylee A. Ressler, Victoria L. Ressler, and Austin Ressler; brother, Ronald Saupe (Jana); nephews, Reid and Craig Saupe; aunt, Irene Ferguson; and cousin, Judy Nysson. Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton is assisting the family with a private funeral service. A burial will take place at a later date at Saint Joseph Cemetery in North Versailles, PA. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society.
