Ruth Eddie Mills, aged 95 of Bluffton, SC went home to the Lord on August 2, 2011 while surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on December 16, 1915 in Perryopolis, PA to Daniel H. Eddie and Flora B. Hanam Eddie.Ruth was a 50 + year member of the Central Christian Church and also a member of the South Union High School class of 1935.She had been employed at the former Books Shoe Store for 12 years and the Hills Department Store for 14 years. She retired from Hills Department Store but later went to work for the Domestic Violence Center for 17 years retiring again in 2000 at the age of 84. She thoroughly enjoyed her work.She was preceded in death by her daughter Doris Jean Ryan Mullins, her first husband Michael Ryan in 1944, her second husband Ray D. Mills in 1961 and by brothers Jack, Ellis and Edward and sisters Mabel Ferency, Kathryn Rahl, Virginia Lininger and Helen Angyalosi and son-in-law George (Lomp) LombardoShe is survived by daughters Jacquelyn Ryan Pratt and her husband H. R. Pratt of South Carolina, Eddie Rae Lombardo of South Carolina (formerly of Uniontown, PA) with whom she made her home.Grandchildren include Skip Pratt and his wife Tamara of Morgantown, WV, Dr. Gregg Pratt and his wife Dr. Amy Pratt of Antioch, IL, Pamela Riggar and her husband Dwayne of Allison, PA., Billie Jo Guthrie and her husband James of Uniontown, PA.Great grand children include Kyle Pratt of Morgantown, WV, D. D., James, and Brandon Riggar of Allison, PA, James, Shane and Allison Gutherie of Uniontown, PA and Ava Pratt of Antioch, IL and three great-great grandchildren.Nieces include Nancy Renninger of Philadelphia, PA, Janet Nara of Cleveland, OH, Wanda McKula of Twinsburg, OH, Lila Krecosky of Perryopolis, PA, Carol Popson of Uniontown, PA, Jeff Schuessler of Lemont Furnace, PA and nephew Sam Carr of Hopwood, PA. Also surviving is James R. Christie, a very special friend.There will be no visitation but a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.The family would like to thank all who have helped in their time of sorrow.
