Ruth Anne Parker

Ruth Anne (Williams) Parker, 80, of Hilton Head, SC died October 19, 2014 at home from pancreatic cancer. Ruth Anne was a resident in Hilton Head, formerly of Fairport, NY. She enjoyed spending the past 20 summers along the St. Lawrence River in Clayton, NY. She was born on October 18,1934 in Rochester, NY the daughter of the late William and Eliza Williams. She graduated from the University of Rochester in 1957 and worked as a Registered Nurse. On May 7, 1960, Ruth Anne and Henry W. Parker were married at Brighton (NY) Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Henry "Hank" W. Parker of Hilton Head, SC; two sons, Charles Parker (Jenifer) of Darien, CT and Scott Parker (Carol) of Chatham, NJ; two daughters, Susan Czap (John) of Webster, NY and Karen Parker of Charleston, SC; and eight grandchildren; Jeffrey, Leslie, Ryan, Rachel, Caroline, Amanda, Christy, Emma; and two great-grandchildren Ryder and Hunter. She is also survived by a sister-in law, Cheryl Denson (Skee) and brother-in-law, Clarence Parker both of NY. She had two nephews, Andy Parker and Jeff Denson as well as a niece, Meg Wager (Kevin). She was actively engaged in various groups in the Moss Creek community. Ruth Anne was a member of the Lowcountry Presbyterian Church of Bluffton, participated in the Island REC water aerobics, and Moss Creek sewing club. A celebration of Ruth Anne's life will be held at Lowcountry Presbyterian Church, 10 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, on November 1st at 10:30 am. Memorial service and interment will be held at White Haven Memorial Park 210 Marsh Rd Pittsford, NY 14534 on November 22nd at 10:00 am. The family would like to thank Daybreak Adult Care Services, Inc. and Hospice Care of America for their excellent care and services they provided to Ruth Anne.
