Ruth S. FloydRidgeland, SCRuth Florence Sheppard Floyd, 81, widow of John Holmes Floyd, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah, GA.She was born in Ridgeland, SC on December 7th, 1930, the daughter of the late George and Julia Ward Sheppard.She was a Seamstress for Holiday Wear Manufacturing Company and a member of Faith Baptist Church.She is survived by her daughter, Betty Jean (Harrison) Smith of Ridgeland, SC; sister, Anna Maulden of Savannah, GA; three grandsons, David H. Smith, II of Ridgeland, SC; Christopher John Smith of Ridgeland, SC; Kevin Scott (Sarah) Smith, also of Ridgeland, SC and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, June 16th, 2012 at Faith Baptist Church in Ridgeland with burial in the Ridgeland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the hour of service at the church.
