Ruthie Mae Nelson, 68, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014 at her home in Ridgeland, SC. She was born in Ridgeland, SC on May 15, 1946 to the late Bobby Gore and Pauline Nelson Gore. She was employed by Hyatt Hotels where she worked for many years in the Food Service department. She is survived by her sons, Frank Nelson (Angie) of Beaufort, SC; Levar Kelly Nelson (Porchse) of Ridgeland, SC; daughters, Jill V. Nelson of Ridgeland, SC; Angela Hamilton (Melvin) of Bluffton, SC; London Nelson of Nashville, TN; brothers, Harold Nelson (Theresa) of Okatie, SC; Robert Gore, Jr. (Barbara) of Savannah, GA; Thomas Gore, Sr. (Betty) and Gussie Gore, all of Savannah, GA; Benjamin Gore, Sr. (Patricia); Herbert Lee Gore of Philadelphia, PA; Verdell Gore (Pauline) of Philadelphia, PA; sisters, Loretta Ellison and Rebecca Nelson, both of Nashville, TN; Marjorie Adams (Benglee) of Philadelphia, PA; Dorothy Estell (Everette) of Savannah, GA; Loretta Lloyd (James) of Newark, NJ; grandchildren, Doneisha Green, Trey Nelson, Javonda Nelson, Tori Nelson, Levar Washington, Paulisha Nelson, Alexeah Nelson and Tahlib "TK" Nelson; God daughters, Shakeena Gillyard and Selina Nelson; eleven neices and twelve nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shavonder Washington; brothers, Isaac Nelson, Sam Gore and sister, Polly Ann Young.
