Ryann Angela Austin (Maiden Breslin), 42, passed away on February 19, 2026.
Ryann was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter, and a bright light to everyone who knew her. She is survived by her spouse, Shaun Austin; her daughter, Emily Austin; her son, Nicholas Austin; and her father, Timothy Breslin and her wonderful fur family Odin, Hank, Molly and Pablo. Her family was her whole world, and she poured her heart into every moment she shared with them.
Early on Ryann was a pseudo mother to Marines, cooking and listening to younger guys and providing guidance. She held down the homefront on 4 deployments, managing 2 young kids, finances, dinners, and every problem that arises. Ryann was recognized as an honorary “Iron Horse” for life by Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 461.
Ryann worked as a dog groomer, a career that perfectly reflected her deep love for animals. She had a gentle spirit and a natural way of making both pets and their owners feel at ease. Her compassion extended far beyond her work, it was simply who she was. She was passionate about animals and always would have fosters and many foster failures that became part of the family.
She found joy in the simple, beautiful things in life: sunny days at the beach, relaxing by the pool, the warmth of summer, and the comfort of her kitchen. Ryann loved cooking and baking for the people she loved, always adding a little extra care to every dish. Her love language was cooking and it showed. She enjoyed good vibes, laughter, and creating a space where everyone felt welcome and cared for and knew she was “Zen as F*ck”
Ryann lived by the words, “This too shall pass,” a reminder of her strength, resilience, and steady faith through life’s ups and downs. Even in difficult times, she carried herself with grace and hope. Even when everything was not fine, she would say, “That's Fine!” even though the world was falling apart. She handled parenting, work, and most aspects of life with grace.
Her viewing will be held on March 4, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m at Sauls Funeral Home; 90 Simmonsville Rd.; Bluffton, SC 29910.
The funeral service will take place on March 5, 2026 at Beaufort National Cemetery.
Ryann’s love, warmth, and beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
